It seems as though every time I record a segment for the CBC I get more and more opinionated (“How could that possibly be?” I’m sure my husband asks himself). I think that’s because I’m getting more comfortable-the big black fuzzy microphone in my face doesn’t seem as daunting as it used to be. It helps when the interviewer can make you laugh unexpectedly, it puts me right at ease. There’s a lot of laughing in my latest segment, have a listen.  Can I get a….giphy

 

This month I recommended Fifteen Lanes by S.J. Laidlaw, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer, Conclave by Robert Harris and Thrice the Brinded Cat Hath Mew’d by Alan Bradley, which I haven’t read yet, because I’m saving it for Christmas week. I know a lot of bloggers agree with me when I say it’s very important to read a Christmas book over Christmas time. For many book lovers it’s the only way we can fully get into the holiday spirit!
