So, I don’t normally review ‘coffee table’ books but I made an exception for this one because it’s a picture book of cats on outdoor adventures. Yes, you read that right, cats are in canoes, hiking mountains and perching on paddle boards in the great white north that is the Canadian wilderness.
Bolt and Keel by Kayleen Vanderee is a delightful little treat that follows two instagram famous cats on their trips outside. There are so many things to love about this book, so I thought my readers would like to see my expressions while I talked about it, which is why I recorded a book tube of this one. Even better, I recorded this video at my newest hangout, the Regal Cat Cafe in Calgary, which my loyal readers will know I’ve gone to a few times now. Cat lovers-enjoy.

I LOVE this book! I got it for my daughter for Christmas (who has inherited her love of cats from me), but really I just wanted it in the house so I could look at it over and over. 🙂

I wonder if those kitties really want to be adopted! I suspect they’ll be looking down their little feline noses at whatever accommodation their new servants provide for them after getting used to living in a cat palace… 😀
haha yes, that’s a good point. Although, being in public that often probably has its downsides too, I suspect they look forward to just returning to a ‘home’ environment after that.

I remember you introducing this cat cafe before, but I didn’t realize the cats were all up for adoption! How great! At our county animal shelter, they give you funny looks when you say you want to see the animals, and then they’re all in cages. Ick. I’m so glad this was a happy morning for you, my friend 😊
yes, it’s a really wonderful place! Animal shelters try their best, but it’s hard to make that a ‘welcoming’ environment for perspective animal owners
