Review Policy

*** Currently, I am not accepting unsolicited books for review. If you are a publisher that I work with frequently you can continue to email me directly to pitch books.

I primarily review books for established publishers big and small. If you are a book publicist, please send me a press release to submit your book for consideration. I occasionally review self-published books but you must contact me for initial approval to send beforehand. I do not review e-books or electronic manuscripts.

I occasionally review children’s picture books, but they must be published by a traditional publisher and released within the past two years.

Because of the large volume of books I receive for review, I cannot guarantee I will review everything that it sent to me. When I am done with a book I’ve reviewed, I will donate it or pass it along to someone else. If I receive a book that I know I won’t review or a book has been on my shelf for too long, I will donate those books as well.

Please note that as a book critic I do not accept payment for book reviews from authors or publishers, I am only paid by a secondary party (i.e. a magazine or media outlet) for my reviews. All opinions and views are my own and are not influenced by the organizations I work with.

After I read a book, I stamp it with my logo. I typically pass along my books to friends or little free libraries, and I’ve also been known to leave books where ever I travel to.

I take ‘spreading the word’ very literally!

If you find a book with my stamp it in it, take a picture and tag me on social media, I love seeing what everyone else is reading.
