    1. I always have lesser expectations for the movie, but I will definitely still watch it haha. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

  1. Knowing you love Murder She Wrote, I’m not surprised that you enjoyed this! I haven’t read it yet – partially because it’s just so popular and partially because now it would mean committing myself to 4 books! It does sound like the kind of murder mystery I like though.

  2. I’m not surprised in the least that they chosen Helen Mirren to be Elizabeth; however, I totally think that Joyce should be short and plump. I mean, she’s the sweet one, the baking one, the diary writer! I don’t have Netflix, but I would love to see this. Maybe I’ll ask Biscuit for her login deets. As for whether this is a cozy mystery, I don’t think it should be called “cozy” because it’s neither cute nor plucky. The characters have skills, experience, knowledge, etc. and teamwork. In cozy mysteries, a lot of it works because there is one main character who falls into a lot of convenient situations and clues.

    1. Mmm yes that’s a good point. I suppose I use the definition cozy when I think of how reading a book made me feel. Does reading this mystery make me feel warm inside? Yes. Do I feel warm inside when I read a book by Karin Slaughter? No. LOL
