Unique Blogger Award!!!
Ok first I feel as though I owe a giant apology to Annmarie @ Annemarie McQueen for taking so damn long to get to this. I’m so bad, and I’m sorry! Big thanks to her for nominating me. She’s got a fantastic blog, and even though she’s new to the blogging game she’s got a ton of followers, so clearly I could learn a thing or two from her!
The rules of the award are as follows, which I will promptly break:
The Rules:
• Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you-DONE WITH PLEASURE!
• Answer the questions-Ok sure
• In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award-Nobody’s got time for that so I’m nominating one person, because my nominations are super special
• Ask them three questions-I’ll ask four, just to be an asshole
The Questions Annemarie Asked:
- What’s one cliche or trope that you secretly really enjoy in a book, movie or TV show?
I don’t know what a trope is (seriously, how am I even a book blogger?), and I’m too lazy to look it up, but I definitely know what a cliche is. My cliche can apply to any mystery in a book, movie or television show; I love when the person you least expect and suspect to be the killer/thief/crook turns out to be person who ‘did it’ in a mystery. It always seems like a bit of a let down when someone who seemed shady at the beginning turns out to be the perp, because where is the fun in the bad guy being bad?
- If you could have a dinner date with one fictional character, who would it be and why?
That’s an easy one. Flavia de Luce from the Alan Bradley book series. She’s extremely intelligent, witty, and has a bad ass bike named Gladys. I wish I were more like her (Flavia, not the bike). Â She’s also 12, so we’d probably go somewhere awesome for dinner, like…Harvey’s.
- What’s the next thing you’re looking forward to?
Christmas, obvi.
So I’m going to nominate one of my fav book blogs, FictionFan’s Book Reviews. And don’t worry, I will completely understand and sympathize if FictionFan can’t get to this for months :) It will become quite obvious to you when you visit this blog why I love it-FictionFan is currently reading a Murder She Wrote Book, and features a picture of a cat in their profile thingy. What’s not to love? The questions I would like FictionFan to answer are as follows:
- How many hours per week do you spend on your blog?
- Can you read more than one book at a time?
- How much do you hate finding copy errors (spelling mistakes, etc.) in a published book on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being I don’t mind at all, and 10 being you hate it with a fiery rage?
- Why are cats so awesome?
haha great answers! I think a trope and a cliche are basically the same thing anyway :p Also I’m totally using your fave cliche in my current WIP lol :)
Haha! I love your cliche – you’re so right! Bad guys who come on like the pantomime villain aren’t nearly as much fun as the ones that make you gasp in surprise at the end!
Aww, thank you for nominating me and for the kind words – I feel so honoured! You’ve cheered me up no end! And I love the questions – I shall have to give some thought to my answers… especially that last one, since the cats will be watching me… ;)
The cats are ALWAYS watching haha
Always better when the perp isn’t someone you’d expect! The unexpected is always fun hahah Great answers. :D

Thanks for reading my answers :)
