Book Review: Confessions of a Curious Bookseller by Elizabeth Green
Cats! Books! A woman with glasses on the cover! This book just calls to me, for obvious reasons. Based on the font, colour scheme and title of this book, you would think it’s chick lit. My friends, it is most definitely not. It is quirky, it is funny, but there is no romance in it. None. It’s an epistolary novel about a woman who is selfish, but she has a cat named Butterscotch so that helps make up for her behavior.
In this video I also introduce you to Makita, a cat we have been babysitting long-term, who comes across as quite camera shy but is in actuality, a real cuddle bug.
I agree – maybe it was meant to attract chick-lit fans and get them reading some real stuff. I loved it –
I love books in diary form too!
glad to hear you enjoyed it!
