  1. Great review tonight, Anne. You are definitely well into that cold but you pulled it all together. Question: how does one get ahold or purchase this advent series? I can definitely do short stories. 👍🏼

  2. I was a huge fan of DH Lawrence in my teens and from what I recall I suspect he really was kinda unpleasant and whiny. Lad Chatterley was only unbanned in the 1960s and boy, it’s considerably more than smutty! Haha – I quite enjoyed it way back in the day, but I suspect I’d hate it with every fibre of my being now… ;)

    1. thank you! I’ll let FictionFan weigh in on this too, but he basically just writes about sex, and very explicitly about female genitalia, from what I recall

    2. Yes, indeed, as Anne says lots of absolutely graphic sex and lots and lots and lots of female genitalia – though he generally uses a much shorter and… earthier term for it! ;) It’s way beyond smut! But there is a kinda serious story in there too, about the aftermath of WW1 and Britain’s attitude to class, but it kinda gets lost amidst the sex. It must have been incredibly shocking at the time – even when I was reading it in the ’70s, I had to hide it from my mother… :D

    1. agreed! and thank you for the compliment, the tree is fake, but holds most of my family’s heirloom ornaments so its very special to me :)

  3. Ok, I am now very much behind… :(
This one sounds good, and your tree is lovely! Sorry about your cold – maybe by now you’re feeling better.
