Holiday Advent Calendar Unveiling: December 7
This has been my favourite day of the advent calendars so far! The chocolate was so-so (sadly, it was dark again, like, super dark, 70% cocoa dark) but the short story was amazing, and it was only five pages! You can tell how excited I am about it in this video, I don’t think I normally get this animated. It’s raining men!!!!!
Oh my God Anne! I must be bonkers! As I posted on Laura’s vlog – I got two meanings from this story. Pre and Post reading the interview with the author. Pre: As it was so surreal, I thought Edna must be dying. In her last gasps of life, in her delirium she walking to the pearly gates and all her significant and insignificant men in her life were passing her by, as she met her maker ‘The Stranger’ Post: it was a take on the theme that we carry all our past significant relationships with us, as we encounter our next meaningful relationship. I thought it was fly away at first – 5 pages, what can u do in 5 pages? – but I was wrong. Bam! Indeed! Well there you go. Until tomorrow! Cheers!
Oh I love both those ideas!!! I don’t typically think that deeply about these things, but perhaps I should LOL
Maybe I have to much time on my hands….
Well, that sounded so much fun I cheated, and looked to see if it’s online – and it is! And I loved it! So much fun but as you say, with a bit of an edge at the end. I loved the bit with her ex-husband… :D
haha I know, wasn’t that classic? Don’t you think the mud latte sounded delish?
Yummy! :D
I’ve missed a couple a days of videos and am catching up! It’s the end of the semester 😐
I love that light green necklace on you; it complements your fair skin beautifully!
why thank you!!!!
This story sounds awesome. I love magical realism elements in a story.
yah, if done well it can be really fun!
