Book Review: The Storm by Arif Anwar
I love the suspense that a storm brings to the fore in a fictional book; as the winds change, so do our expectations as a reader. This story begins with a storm, and ends with the same storm, pushing the reader in all different directions and time periods, raging through each character and their own individual plotline. Check out my (quick!) video review of The Storm by Arif Anwar below.
I love the glasses! Not sure they make you look more serious, though – red frames are too cool to be intellectual… ;) The book sounds very interesting – can’t believe I’ve never heard of that storm given the huge loss of life. I guess back then we didn’t get so much news from around the world…
That’s exactly right FF, we get way too much news now, it’s pretty bad for our mental health to be this aware of things. And yes, you’re very spot-on with the glasses haha
I keep trying to read this review while at work and then remembering that it’s a video! LOL. Also, who is that pretty kitty?
Oh that’s Hank, I cat-sit him sometimes because he’s adorable and good with children, and I miss having a cat around. We will get a new cat eventually when the kids are a bit older, but honestly it’s nice not having to scoop litter every day LOL
I hear you there. I’m so tired of finding litter everywhere, despite sweeping every day and taking measures to keep the litter in one place. I also discovered the cat has a secret sleepy place in my closet, so all the sweaters back there have a cat hair blanket on them now.
ugh cat hair on clothes-that is one thing I definitely don’t miss!
I love the glasses! Red glasses are so fun.
The book also sounds good – I love storms and I love interconnected storylines.
Thank you!
