Holiday Advent Calendar Unveiling: December 5
Even though I have contacted the plague, I am still enjoying reading my short story advent calendar and sampling my chocolate advent calendar ( side note: I can’t taste the chocolate right now, but the texture still delights me). Smokey takes front seat in this video today because she was missing the limelight.
I also wanted to give a shout out to the other two booktubers who are creating videos for each day they read the short stories in the advent calendar as well. Please check out the channels from Laura Frey and CR Flames Fan, Â they are much more informative than I am, so watching their videos will probably help you decide whether you should read the story or not.
Poor you! You’re doing a grand job despite the plague – brave little soldier! I hope your Santa is milk and that Smokey and Pearl give you some much needed cuddles… :D
It does sound like an odd collection for an advent calendar – can’t make up my mind whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I suppose 25 sweet uplifting stories might get a bit sickly…
yes you’re probably right, it would be annoying to read a bunch of stories that all had happy endings…ugh!
I pointed out on Twitter that the famous Patton Oswalt is also reading the Advent calendar! Or, at least he read #5 and loved it.
yes, it’s interesting he knows the creators of the calendar and he is the one who created their ‘ghost box’, which is another collection they published this past year. Not sure how they met (it’s published out of Edmonton, Alberta, so not exactly a hot spot) but oh well, it’s getting them more attention! https://www.hingstonandolsen.com/store/the-ghost-box
Ooooh, the website says there’s a Kelly Link story in your box. I love her work. Do you ever tag the authors of company in your social media posts? They might give you some swag!
I probably should, I haven’t even thought of that! Ah I’m such a social media newb
That’s okay! It seems like you frequently ask for feedback, which is why I add things. I hope you do not feel that I am being critical of your work. I’ve come to look forward to your advent calendar posts. They add a nice little rhythm to my day.
haha no no, I really appreciate any and all feedback, it’s the best way to improve no? If only my husband felt the same way…
Yay, Smokey! :) I also noticed Patton Oswalt’s tweet on this story. I hope you feel much better soon!
thanks :)
Hi Smokey!
