  1. I do enjoy stories which introduce backstory/sidestory characters to flesh out a well-known tale like this Dickens story. But the obvious bits might be a little too obvious for my taste – I love surprises too. How wonderful that her friend was able to complete the work for her. Touching.

  2. I love the idea behind this book. I don’t think I’ve ever read A Christmas Carol, either. I’ve seen too many versions of the movie to be interested in reading the book. Maybe someday…

    1. I actually saw the play a few days ago and LOVED IT! The actor who plays scrooge has been doing it for 25 years here in Calgary.

    2. Sounds like fun! We see The Nutcracker every year – it didn’t even occur to me some places might have a Christmas Carol production every year. Maybe I’ll have to suggest that to our local theater group!
