  1. I really enjoy David Sedaris too. Often these quirky style non-fiction writers make me feel like they’re trying too hard but Sedaris always comes across as believable and, as you say, relatable somehow.

  2. I’m sure you read his pieces very well…but I do really love his tone of voice, the way he delivers his essays. They just sound so much funnier in his way of speaking than they do in my mind!

  3. I recently read both diary books, Calypso, and this one as well. Loved them all. It made my holidays without the family wonderful as i got to suffer hysterically and vicariously through David and his family. This is why i read books!
