  1. It’s definitely an eye-catching cover, and the blurb does seem to suggest that it’s not going to appeal to every reader.

    When you say you wish it wasn’t so long, how long is it? Or, did it only FEEL long?

  2. I’m trying to imagine how this book would appeal to an Israeli audience, given they are a more conservative culture. And also in the midst of a war. Did you read anything about that? Reviews or anything?

    1. I only read the reviews on Goodreads, so from North America. However, I imagine the rights were purchased from the Israeli publisher a few years ago, so it likely reached its success there a few years ago too, as it typically takes time for this ‘bigger’ translations to make their way to us. I wonder if they are a more conservative culture as a whole – no doubt certain religious factions are, but as a whole? I actually have no idea…

  3. Sometimes I like reading about characters behaving in ways I would never do. It’s oddly interesting. Sometimes! This one sounds like it might have that same kind of pull.

    1. I know exactly what you mean Laila, and I totally agree. It’s a different form of escapism because it’s things I know I would never do myself, but I get a bit of a thrill reading about the consequences LOL
