    1. It’s a not-for-profit, so they are regular jobs, although they pay is not to spectacular haha
      I quit to get a job that has less hours, more pay, and better benefits because i was planning on having babies. So, I got a job at the University of Calgary, but have stayed involved with Wordfest because I love it so much

    2. Oh sorry, ok I should have specified I stopped working at the U of C once Ava was born! I was a ‘recognition and engagement specialist’ so essentially I planned events to recognize really big donations (like tens of millions of dollar donations!). It was fun, but I find event planning stressful, so staying home with the babes seemed like a better route-then I could focus on my book stuff too!

    3. I could see you being a good organizer, especially since you were organizing Word Fest fight before that. And you have to be good at organizing to get all the videos and reviews up that you do, too!

  1. Wow, what a week you had! I hope you went home and slept for a couple of days once it was all done. :)
    Totally worth it, though. So many great events and authors! Thanks for sharing – I loved hearing about it. And I love the pics!
