2018 Short Story Advent Calendar Unveiling: December 9

Smokey hogs the camera, I’m wearing my housecoat, and an important and timely story is included in today’s video.

So you can always tell when I’ve been travelling, because the pictures of my books don’t feature Pearl or Smokey. I went on a lovely road trip to the UK a few weeks ago with my husband, and while away, I read a few books about travelling, just to help me get in the exploring…

Cats! Books! A woman with glasses on the cover! This book just calls to me, for obvious reasons. Based on the font, colour scheme and title of this book, you would think it’s chick lit. My friends, it is most definitely not. It is quirky, it is funny, but there is no romance in it….

I’m squeaking this video in at the last minute here, which is probably a sign of things to come as Christmas draws nearer. But doesn’t the tree look so nice, all lit up as it gets darker outside? One of the few benefits of not recording this video earlier in the day I suppose. Anyway,…

Those chocolates are really beginning to annoy me now! I’m simply not getting enough vicarious pleasure from it! I demand a Santa!!
right? I got myself a chocolate treat to make up for this disappointment, you can check it out on Dec. 11
Wow, what an interesting and unique way to voice eating disorders. It took me a bit to get there, but it is very powerful.
What a beautiful conversation about this story. This is a nice video, Anne. I’m super disappointed in the chocolate calendar. The same thing happened last year with the same chocolates repeatedly. It almost seems like a rip-off.
right? So frustrating. And thank you!
