  1. Not one I would have picked up normally despite the fantasy but it does sound interesting and like something I might enjoy (I loved Buffy!) Thanks :)

  2. I was more of a Charmed fan – never quite got into Buffy for some reason. Ha! Yes it’s always the beautiful girls who don’t care about their appearance… grrr! ;)

    1. I know! (eye roll). Oh gosh Charmed, now that brings me back too. I never got into that one, so maybe lots of people were one or the other haha

  3. I’m another reader who has never got into fantasy because I’m too much in the real world. One day I will try a fantasy novel just to see why so many people love them. Not sure this would be a good one to choose to begin though

  4. I like the detail of having zombies drink formaldehyde. It’s really logical, but I had never thought of it. Ann, you’ve stumbled into a paranormal novel, not a fantasy! I mean, some people might argue that this is a subgenre of fantasy, but paranormal doesn’t share a ton of elements with fantasy. Paranormal is more witches, ghosts, vampires, zombies. Fantasy is more fairies, elves, wizards, dragons, magic. Maybe you’re still not a fantasy reader, lol.

    1. haha ok, you are very clearly right on this one, and I wish you had told me BEFORE i went on the radio and called this a fantasy (face palm) I have so much to learn about this genre/ones like it

  5. I’m the same way – I would rather read about real things. But more often than not, when I read a book I wouldn’t normally read, I end up liking it. I like most things, as long as they’re well-written. But I still have preferences, so the fantasy and sci-fi get sent to the back-burner most of the time.
