  1. This is one of the two longlisted books I didn’t read. (For no particular reason.) Now it’s back on my radar… Especially since it’s short!

    1. It flew under the radar considering it was longlisted for the Giller. It’s a nice short one, so I recommend it if you have the time, but as we know, so many books, so little time LOL

  2. A handful of years ago I remember Fiction Fan pointed out that novels were getting longer and longer, and it was not an appealing trend. Now, I feel like folks are noticing books are under 200 pages. Are you seeing something similar, or am I generalizing out in left field?

    1. Hmmm I don’t think I’ve noticed either way quite honestly. I think authors who have found success are publishing longer books for sure (Margaret Atwood, John Irving, Fredrik Backman) but I can’t say that applies to everyone else. Which I’m grateful for, because i like a shorter book!

  3. Great review! I’ve seen this one in the bookstore and on the longlist but wasn’t drawn to it. But your review has intrigued me!
