  1. Hmm… you make it sound tempting, but I fear I’m with Smokey on the subject of children. By the way, you must have superglued her to the sofa to get that picture… ! ;)

  2. Smokey is so beautiful! People say my cat is pretty too, but she’s awful to everyone but me. She is the weirdest cat I’ve ever had.

Anyway, you make some very persuasive points about this book. I’m so glad there there is some measure of light at the end. Grief memoirs are really hard to read, and I usually avoid them. But they are invaluable for people going through grief – as all of us will do at some point. But I’m like you – WAY overactive imagination re: my child!

    1. This book is a memoir? I feel like I missed that. Also, I was wondering how long it is if you can read it in one sitting and it’s more like poetry. I can tell what you mean, though; I thought Roxane Gay’s latest book, Hunger, was very poetic in the way she would repeat herself, almost like a refrain.

    2. Not a memoir, a novel told in the first person perspective. It’s prettt short, just past 100 pages and big text with lots of spaces :)
