Radio Segment: Thank God for Teachers
Ah yes, it’s that time of year again; when parents breath a sigh of relief as they children trot back off to school, and parents of younger children (like yours truly) experience the first-time thrill of sending their kids to preschool and having time to themselves EACH AND EVERY DAY!!! It’s hard to believe it’s already September, and unfortunately Calgary is already calling for snow in this week’s forecast…
But let’s not talk about the weather, instead, listen to my latest CBC segment where I discuss two books that feature teachers as protagonists: How to Stop Time by Matt Haig and Dr. Edith Vane and the Hares of Crawley Hall by Suzette Mayr. Enjoy-quick, before the kids get home from school!

Snow!?? How awful! Never mind – you wouldn’t be able to go out anyway since you have fourteen books to get through… at least!
yes! I’m almost done them-I have four more to go in the next few weeks, although I don’t have some of them-they were just published a few days ago. Either way, I’m screwed LOL
What do you do with all your free time?! I mean, ONE baby can’t be THAT hard, right? Hahahajklol, but what do you like to do all day?
haha mostly read? And watch Nashville on netflix-and eat chocolate of course
I’ve never heard of Nashville. I’m currently rewatching session 4 of Bojack Horseman so I am refreshed for the new season.
My husband loves that show! I have a strange dislike of cartoons, even adult ones :)
It’s SUPER an adult cartoon. Not for kids at all.
Both of these books sound like fun!
And, yes, enjoy my free time – quick! – before the kids come home from school. That’s exactly what I’m doing right now!
us moms are SUPERB at taking advantage of our little free time-we don’t let one drop go to waste :)
